Selection Criteria

The Summit STEM fellowship (SSF) seeks ambitious, self-motivated students driven to make a meaningful impact in the world. Students entering 9th through 12th grade in Fall 2025 are eligible to apply for the program. Applicants should demonstrate a strong passion for STEM, in addition to academic excellence, leadership skills, and self-discipline. The fellowship understands that not all students have equal access to opportunities in STEM, and the selection committee puts particular emphasis on admitting students who demonstrate strong future potential.

2025 Application Deadlines

There are three admissions cycles for the Summer 2025 Fellowship: Early, Regular, and Late Admissions. Admissions are conducted on a rolling basis, meaning the selection committee reviews applications in the order they are received. Students who apply in earlier cycles are compared to a smaller applicant pool, notified of their admissions decision sooner, and given preference for selecting which session they would like to attend. There are a limited number of spots in the fellowship, and students are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Students typically hear back within two to three weeks of submitting their application.
