Summit STEM Mentors

Summit STEM Mentors

The Summit STEM Fellowship (SSF) brings together accomplished young professionals at the forefront of STEM as mentors and speakers. As recent college graduates or undergraduates, mentors can share relevant, practical guidance tailored to younger students. The fellowship aims to inspire students by showing them what they can achieve in the next five to ten years while equipping them with the tools and resources needed to excel in their own paths. Over the summer, students have the opportunity to learn from a network of 50+ mentors.

Jiwoo is an MD candidate in the Harvard-MIT HST Program at Harvard Medical School. Prior, Jiwoo studied Computational Biology and Biomedical Informatics at Stanford. In high school, Jiwoo attended the Research Science Institute (RSI) and was awarded Best in Category at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) for her computational biology research on CRISPR-Cas9.

He also attended the Research Science Institute (RSI) and was named a Forbes 30 Under 30 Recipient for his research. Currently, Dhruvik works as a software engineer at Foundry, an AI startup.

Albert studied Operations Research Financial Engineering at Princeton and currently works as an investor at Marshall Wace. Albert was previously the youngest-ever Assistant Director of the Research Science Institute (RSI) and now serves as an advisor on the alumni committee. Albert also serves as a Board Member of Tiger Capital Management, a student-run investment group at Princeton.

Amber studied Computer Science (AI Track) at Stanford and previously worked as an investor at Bloomberg Beta. In high school, Amber won the International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF) and founded SeerTracking, a space startup, from her research. For her work, Amber has been named to Business Insider’s Rising Stars in Venture Capital and the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.

Ben is a MD/MBA candidate at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Business School. He received his A.B. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Harvard and worked at the Broad Institute. In high school, Ben received a gold medal at the International Biology Olympiad (IBO) and a bronze medal at the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO). He is now a high performance STEM tutor.

Isaac has also interned as a data scientist at Meta, a quantitative trader at Jane Street, and a researcher for the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).

She started making games and running at age 12, and in her 12 years in the gaming industry, she’s shipped 10 titles on the mobile app stores with over 9.2 million downloads. Jenny studied at MIT and graduated with a degree in Computer Science.

Katie has also conducted NLP research at Oculus and was hired as the first Product Manager at Astrocade, an AI gaming platform co-founded by Fei-Fei Li.

In high school, Lorena was recognized as a MITES Semester Scholar, an MIT program for students in STEM, and was also recognized as a recipient of the NCWIT Aspirations in Computing award for her work in computer science and technology.

Lorena is an undergraduate studying Computer Science at Harvard. Her high school did not offer any computer science courses, but she did not let this stop her. Lorena found other opportunities at Google and her community college, and was named a MITES Semester Scholar (MIT program for students in STEM). She also founded the Roboneers LEGO Robotics Camp to promote early interest in STEM.
